Tips on Using This Site

On the download page, look for the purple button that says "CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD" and save the file on your computer. To view the PDF file, you will need the free Adobe Reader download, which you can get here.

The Benefits of Coloring

Coloring helps pre-kindergartners develop fine motor skills in their hands and fingers. It also can fire little kids' imagination, and help them develop thinking skills. Coloring not only has oodles of developmental benefits for preschoolers, it's fun too! By the age of two, most children will be delighted to start coloring (as opposed to earlier attempts at just scribbling). They will feel a sense of accomplishment at being able to hold a crayon and draw and color familiar shapes and images.

Coloring is also a very portable activity that is easy to pack in a day bag, diaper bag or purse You only need to stash a few (or a few dozen) printed pages and a small box of crayons to be ready whenever the coloring moment strikes: in a restaurant, at a friend's house, on a train, or in an airplane.
